GEM Talks is an ongoing series by the Grand Egyptian Museum that brings people together to exchange ideas, challenge perspectives, and celebrate creativity. Built on the belief that culture evolves and transforms, the series explores the powerful forces, from art and advocacy to personal narrative, that shape the world around us.
This edition, marking Women’s History Month, explores how women are reclaiming their narratives and rewriting the definition of success.
Moving beyond traditional milestones of career and status, the session examines how purpose, authenticity, and well-being have become the new metrics of a life well-lived. The conversation highlights how breaking the silence around women’s health, child protection, and mental health can empower individuals to lead more informed, balanced lives.
Moderated by marketing strategist and Podcaster Marian Bahader, the talk brings together a diverse panel of women who have redefined their own paths. Nour Emam, health educator and co-founder of Daleela; Salma El-Fawal, Child Protection Specialist at UNICEF; Sara Aziz, Founder and President of SAFE Organization; and Mona Kamel, a Master’s Swimmer and advocate for lifelong reinvention, share their insights on how personal passion can drive social change and why reinvention is possible at any stage of life.
